WHY SHOULD I BECOME A VOLUNTEER?
Little League Baseball and Softball is an organization designed to build good citizens. It is a program of leadership, preparing today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders.
WHERE CAN I VOLUNTEER?
Little League is comprised of a District, which oversees the local leagues - in District 54 we operate the District, have 12 local leagues, the Challenger Division . At the local level, Little League relies on a devoted legion of adult volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. Local Little League programs are always looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate Little League events and activities.
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Volunteer opportunities are limitless, it starts with Board of Directors and all of the positions on the board, managers, coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, umpires, concession workers, fundraising. For more information check with your local league or email [email protected].
HOW DO I BECOME A VOLUNTEER?
A background check is required on an annual basis. Depending upon the position additional safety requirements may be needed. The local league can provide information or you can check our Safety Tab.
I DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE, CAN I STILL VOLUNTEER?
YES! No experience is required to become a volunteer. Most of the volunteer opportunities require little or no training. Local leagues and the District are available to provide people with any necessary training (as well as support and encouragement).
The best volunteers are those who want to make an impact on a child's life and love the game of baseball!
